Highlights of Secretary Arne Duncan’s Speech at the March APEC Meeting

On March 7, 2011, U.S. Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, spoke at the 33rd Human Resources Development Working Group Meeting.  In his address, Secretary Duncan emphasized the importance of clear, coherent, and coordinated reform.  The Secretary also discussed the value of APEC Economies coming together, and learning from each other’s strengths. Mr. Duncan was appointed U.S. Secretary of Education in 2009 and was previously Chief Executive Officer of Chicago Public Schools.
