The 21 Pacific Rim members of the Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC) are committed to strengthening human resources development (HRD) to raise the productive contribution of people for work and society. The APEC-Wiki supports the APEC Human Resources Development Working Group (HRDWG), which consists of the Capacity Building Network (CBN), Education Network(EDNET), and Labour and Social Protection Network, (LSPN) in three ways: 

• Sharing Knowledge of HRD policies and practices along with an evidence of their effectiveness;
• Knowledge development to extend the HRD evidence base; and  
• Networking to facilitate knowledge sharing and development through international communities of practice around major HRD topics

APEC Education Network activities focus on the following priority areas:

• Mathematics: standards, assessments, instruction, teachers (e.g., lesson study), and Singapore's model
  
• Science: standards 
• Career and Technical Education (CTE)
• Learning Each Other's Languages: standards, assessments, curriculum and instruction, policy
• Information Communication Technologies (ICT)
• Systemic Reform: Transnational Education
  

APEC Labour and Social Protection Network activities aim at an employed, productive, and protected worker force through:

• Career and and Technical Education 
• Sustainable Career Development
• Regional Economic Development

APEC Capacity Building Network activities promote organizational capacity in government/public, private and not-for-profit sectors in:

• Recycling Based Economies
