Sustainable Career Development throughout Working Life

The Sustainable Career Development Throughout Working Life Forum was held November 14 through 16, 2007 as part of the APEC Forum on Human Resources Development. Since 1996, the annual APEC Forum on Human Resources Development has been jointly hosted by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and Overseas Vocational Training Association as a cooperative project by the Labour and Social Protection Network and the Human Resources Development Working Group of APEC.  These fora contribute to the APEC and HRDWG priority area of CTE/TVET. The resources of this forum can be found below.

China - Economy Report

Some identifying factors of decent work are: access to social security, fair compensation, professional development, safe and hygienic working conditions, respect for the fundamental rights of workers and ultimately, equal access to the same opportunities for personal and family development.
